ASSEMBLY MOUNTINGS 

Tightening torques 

Engine mounting 

1. Mounting to body. ALWAYS replace torque to yield bolts. 

40 N.m plus 90° (1/4 turn) 

2. Mounting/bracket to - body 

25 N.m 

3. Mounting to engine - mounting 

100 N.m 

NOTE:

Footnote 1 in Fig. 17 : ALWAYS replace torque to yield bolts.

Transmission mounting 

1. Mounting to body. ALWAYS replace torque to yield bolts. 

40 N.m plus 90° (1/4 turn) 

2. Mounting to body 

25 N.m 

3. Mounting to transmission console 

100 N.m

Pendulum support 

Installation sequence 

1. Pendulum support to subframe. ALWAYS replace torque to yield bolts. 

20 N.m plus 90° (1/4 turn) 

2. Pendulum support to transmission. ALWAYS replace torque to yield bolts. 

40 N.m plus 45° (1/8 turn) 

3. Pendulum support to transmission. ALWAYS replace torque to yield bolts. 

40 N.m plus 45° (1/8 turn) 

NOTE:

Footnote 1 in Fig. 19 : ALWAYS replace torque to yield bolts.

ADDITIONAL NOTES AND ASSEMBLY STEPS FOR VEHICLES WITH AIR CONDITIONING 

To remove and install engine without opening refrigerant circuit: 

z

Remove Generator. 

See GENERATOR . 

z

Remove dipstick guide funnel if necessary.  

z

Remove air conditioning compressor 

See CONDENSER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . 

z

Secure A/C compressor to lock carrier so that refrigerant lines/hoses are not stressed. 

CAUTION: Do not open refrigerant circuit for A/C system.

NOTE:

Do not bend or stretch lines or hoses as condenser and/or refrigerant 
lines/hoses may be damaged.
