Note If the body kit part has been repaired or partially renewed, the area concerned must be cleaned and primed again after painting. 6.6 Preparing new add-on part for bonding WARNING Mask off primed and bonding surfaces properly before paint‐ ing. – Immediately before bonding add-on parts, clean bonding sur‐ face thoroughly with adhesive remover -D 002 000 10- . • Bonding surfaces must be free of dust and grease and there should be no adhesive residues. – Now apply plastic primer -D 009 600- using applicator -D 009 500 25- equally in one stroke. • Drying time approx. 10 minutes applied evenly to the primed surfaces of the add-on parts with the double cartridge gun -VAS 5237- . 6.7 Installation instructions The surfaces to be primed for the body kit parts should be com‐ pletely clean. 10- . – Soak cloth in silicon remover -LSE 020 100 A3- . using cloth soaked with solution and allow to dry. – Now apply glass/paint primer using applicator -D 009 500 25- evenly in one stroke. ♦ Drying time approx. 10 minutes add-on parts. WARNING Body kit parts should be installed within 10 minutes, or bonding properties of adhesive will be impaired. ♦ Gap dimensions should be kept to an absolute minimum, up to approx. 1 mm. 6.
