This chapter includes a graphic review of Electronic
Signage within the Amtrak Graphics Signage System.
Amtrak has updated most of its electronic Sign Types
and is directing a national implementation of these
new units. Since this is a nationally coordinated effort,
the PIDS (Passenger Information Display Systems) Sign
Types E2 through E9 cannot be ordered for individual
stations. Contact SignageBrandManagement@Amtrak.
com for information on PIDS.
Electronic sign systems require individual configura-
tions. A sign overview, elevations of typical mount-
ing options, sign size and layout and a design intent
drawing is included for each electronic Sign Type.
General specifications given in this chapter are based
on available technology as of date of publication of
this Manual and they are subject to change. Sign types
