have been categorized into five groups.

“A” Sign Types represent Platform Signs.

“B” Sign Types represent Interior Signs.

“C” Sign Types represent Exterior Signs.

“D” Sign Types represent Regulatory Signs.

“E” Sign Types represent Electronic Signs.

This chapter includes a comprehensive review of

all static Exterior Signage (C Sign Types) within

the Amtrak Graphics Signage System.

A sign overview, elevations of typical mounting

options, sign size and layout and a design intent draw-

ing is included for each Sign Type. “C” refers to signs

found on the non-platform curb side or street side of

station exteriors. Numeric codes (1, 2, 3, etc.), follow-

ing the location prefix “C” help organize and codify

all Sign Types within this category. Sign Types are listed

first by their name and are followed by their identify-

ing letter and number. For example: Curb Identifier,

C1 Sign Type.
