Loosen bypass valve -1- to release any residual pressure and then retighten.  

z

Mark hydraulic lines -3- before removing. Undo Torx(R) screws -2- (7 N.m).  

z

Pull hydraulic lines -3- carefully out from openings.  

z

Remove combi-nut -4- (5 N.m).  

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal. 

HYDRAULIC PUMP IMPELLER, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW 

1. Hydraulic pump motor 

z

Removing and installing, see Hydraulic pump, removing and installing .  

2. Torx(R) screws 

z

Always replace.  

z

5 N.m.  

3. Pump impeller  

4. O-ring 

z

Always replace.  

z

O-ring is included in repair kit.  

5. Hydraulic pump  

NOTE:

z

Make sure hydraulic lines are installed in proper position on pump..  

z

Make sure O-rings are not damaged and are seat correctly when installing 
hydraulic lines.  

z

Make sure there is no debris on pump in area of hydraulic line 
connections.  

z

After installing the hydraulic pump the system must be filled again and 
bled., see HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, FILLING AND BLEEDING .  

z

Reconnect battery, make sure the vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric 
windows) is checked as per Workshop manual and/or Owner's manual.  

NOTE:

The following list refers to items in Fig. 107 .

HYDRAULIC PUMP IMPELLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 

Removing 

z

Remove hydraulic pump, see HYDRAULIC PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Place hydraulic unit with reservoir facing downward vertically in a suitable container and secure it 
against tipping.  

z

Open bypass valve so that the hydraulic oil can flow from the pump unit into the container.  

z

Remove Torx(R) screws -2- and pull motor -1- off hydraulic pump.

Pull pump impeller -1- off drive shaft -2-. 

NOTE:

z

Hydraulic system reacts with extreme sensitivity to all types of 
contaminants.  

z

Components must be covered immediately as the system is opened.  

z

Place a suitable container under the pump to collect leaking oil before 
dismantling the hydraulic unit.

Remove metal tongue -3- from pump housing (Unit will be damaged if metal tongue remains in pump 
housing).

Metal tongue -3- is no longer required. 

Installing 

z

Press new pump impeller -1- onto drive shaft -2- 

Pump impeller fits in one position only on drive shaft.
