ATF LINES & ATF COOLER FLUSHING

01V Transaxle

1. If there is debris in the ATF, blow through the ATF cooler and ATF lines with compressed air before

installing transaxle. Release bracket for rigid ATF lines on transaxle.

2. Remove bolt (2). See Fig. 16 . Pull ATF lines off transaxle. Connect a hose to ATF pipe (A) and secure

with a hose clamp. Hang other end of hose in a suitable container. Clear ATF line (B) with compressed
air. Change hose from ATF pipe (A) over to ATF pipe (B) and repeat sequence.

3. Prior to installing ATF lines to transaxle, replace "O" rings (1). Moisten "O" rings with ATF. Insert ATF

lines completely by hand onto stop in transaxle. Do not tighten bolt until ATF lines are completely
inserted. Tighten bolt to 15 ft. lbs. (20 N.m). Check and top up ATF level. See CHECKING FLUID
LEVELS
. When checking ATF level, check ATF line connections (A) and (B) for leaks.
