Specification: value in zone 2 must increase steadily up to 100% (pedal fully depressed).

On vehicles with an automatic transmission, the kickdown switch pressure point must be distinctly felt before 
the Wide Open Throttle (WOT) stop position is reached. 

If specified end value not reached:

Adjust Throttle Position sensor -G79-  

If display does not change or is irregular: 

z

Check Throttle Position sensor as follows:  

z

Switch OFF ignition.

Disconnect connector for sensor: Component locations overview. See DIESEL INJECTION SYSTEM,

Carry out resistance measurement between sensor terminals 1 and 3 using Fluke 83 multimeter.
