The »height« of this rising tube corresponds to the height of the ATF level. ⇒ “11 ATF Level, Checking and Filling”, page 112 . 1.8 Seals, Gaskets and Oil ♦ Always replace the O-rings, gaskets and seals. illustrated as shaft seals. ♦ After removing the gaskets and seals, check the contact sur‐ faces on the housing or shaft for burrs resulting from removal or damage. ♦ Coat the O-rings with ATF before inserting to prevent crushing rings during assembly. ♦ Only use ATF. Other lubricants cause malfunctions in the hy‐ draulic transmission control. ♦ Before installing the seals, lightly oil the outer circumference and fill the space between the sealing lips -arrow- halfway with Grease - G 052 128 A1- . ♦ The open side of the gaskets point toward the fluid to be sealed in. ♦ Check the ATF level after installing.
