Overview - Selector Mechanism

Note

Note radio code on vehicles with coded radio.

Disconnect the ground cable from the battery when working on the gearshift mechanism inside the engine

compartment. Refer to ⇒  Electrical Equipment; Rep. Gr.  27 ; Battery; Battery, Disconnecting and Con‐

necting .

Connect battery and follow the procedures to be performed after connecting a battery. Refer to ⇒  Electrical

Equipment; Rep. Gr.  27 ; Battery; Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting .

To work on gearshift mechanism in the engine compartment, remove entire air filter housing if it is located

♦

The shift mechanism must be removed in order to replace the operating cables. Refer to

Do not bend the operating cables.
