2.0L (Engine Codes AEG, AVH & AZG) 

1. Ensure main fuses are OK. Battery fuse panel is located near battery. See Fig. 6 . Ensure coolant fan 

control thermo switch is OK. 

First Stage 

On 

198-207°F (92-97°C) 

Off 

183-196°F (84-91°C) 

Second Stage 

On 

210-221°F (99-105°C) 

Off 

196-208°F (91-98°C)

2. Remove left sound insulation panel from under front of vehicle to gain access to coolant fan control 

thermo switch. See Fig. 7 .

3. Disconnect 3-pin connector off of thermo switch. Bridge contact 1 and contact 2 of connector with 

jumper wire. See Fig. 8 and Fig. 9 . Fans should run at low speed.
