INTERNAL OIL LINE

Removal & Installation (01V Transaxle)

1. Faulty "O" rings on the internal oil line allow ATF to enter the differential. Differential then becomes

overfilled and oil will seep out of the breather holes of the differential. If an oil line is removed, it should
generally be replaced. The oil line should only be inserted using Fitting Tool (3381). Otherwise there is a
danger of the oil line becoming bent, which will cause leaks to occur.

2. Remove valve body. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (01V TRANSAXLE) under VALVE

BODY ASSEMBLY. Pry internal oil line off transaxle housing using a screwdriver. See Fig. 27 .
Replace "O" rings. Insert internal oil line into fitting tool. Open side of fitting tool faces toward outside of
transaxle. See Fig. 28 .

3. Using a plastic hammer, drive the oil line into the transaxle housing until the fitting tool makes contact.

Ensure oil line is kept straight. Drive both oil line ends in evenly. Install valve body. Fill with ATF, check
ATF level and top off as necessary. See CHECKING FLUID LEVELS under LUBRICATION.
