Switch OFF ignition.

Disconnect Clutch Vacuum Vent Valve Switch -F36- harness connector. See DIESEL INJECTION 
SYSTEM, COMPONENT LOCATIONS OVERVIEW .  

z

Switch Fluke 83 multimeter to resistance range.  

z

Measure resistance at switch terminals.

Clutch not depressed: maximum 10 ohm  

z

Clutch depressed: INFINITY ohm  

If specifications not obtained: 

z

Replace Clutch Vacuum Vent Valve Switch -F36-.  

z

Display the Readiness code. See READINESS CODE, DISPLAYING .  

If DTC memory has been erased: 

z

Set the Readiness code again. See READINESS CODE, SETTING .
