Carry out following work:
– Insert window regulator -1- together with cable drum through

opening in door and move to mounting position -arrows a- and

-b-.

– Insert threaded bolts of window regulator through the door

skin.

– Screw on nuts -2- and tighten.
Specified torque for nuts -2-: 8 Nm
– Insert guides of cable drum through door skin until locking

hooks engage -arrows c-.

– Install window regulator motor

Note

Removal and installation is described only for the right window

channel. The removal and installation of the left window channel

is similar.

3.6.1

Removing

Carry out following work:
– Remove door window 

⇒ page 221

 .

– Pull out retaining clip -3- -arrow c-.
– Peel sealing lip of window channel -1- off the door flange from

the inside.

– Pull window channel -1- -arrows a- off flange -2- uniformly all

around it.

– Pull window channel -1- out of mountings -arrows b-.

Carry out following work:
– Openings -4- beneath window channel are masked off with

textile adhesive tape.

Adhesive tape dimensions: height = approx. 10 mm, width = ap‐

prox. 40 mm.
– Spray window channel with soapy water to facilitate installa‐

tion.

– Push window channel -1- into mountings on fixed door window

-arrow a-.

– Push window channel -1- of fixed door window evenly all

around onto the door flange -2- as far as B-pillar.

– Fold sealing lip of window channel onto door flange from the

inside as far as B-pillar.

3. Rear door window

To prevent wind noise, ensure window channel -1- seats evenly when installing.

The window channel is installed at the B-pillar after installation of the door window.

– Push in retaining clip -3- -arrow c-.

Note

♦

Retaining clip inclination must point to inner side of vehicle (vehicle interior).

♦

If retaining clip inclination points to outer side of vehicle -scored through in red-, retaining clip must be turned

around.

Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Removing and installing fixed door win‐

dow

Note

Removal and installation are described only for the right fixed

door window. Removal and installation of the left fixed door win‐

dow is analogous.
