Removing ribbed belt

Mark direction of rotation of ribbed belt.  

z

To loosen ribbed belt turn tensioning element in direction of arrow.

Lock tensioning device with 3090 Connecting rod support.

Remove or install ribbed belt. 

z

Remove insulation tray. 

See PLENUM CHAMBER INNER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 

z

Remove or install ribbed belt.  

z

Start engine and check belt running.

Belt drive without air conditioning compressor

NOTE:

When installing ribbed belts ensure the belt seats correctly in the belt 
pulley.

10-222A Engine support bracket with 10-222A/8 adapter

3180 Retainer (for turbocharged engines)

T10092 Tensioning bolt  

NOTE:

Engines with an air conditioning compressor are equipped with a double ribbed 
belt.
