< SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS >

[MID AUDIO]

NORMAL OPERATING CONDITION

The other party’s voice cannot be heard by hands-free phone.

When the radio wave condition is not ideal or ambient sound is too 
loud, it may be difficult to hear the other person’s voice during a 
call.

Poor sound quality.

Do not place the cellular phone in an area surrounded by metal or 
far away from the in-vehicle phone module to prevent tone quality 
degradation and wireless connection disruption.

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Remove cluster lid C. Refer to 

IP-21, "Removal and Installation"

.

2. Remove the audio unit screws (A).
3. Pull the audio unit out. 
4. Disconnect the harness connectors from the audio unit and

remove.

5. Remove the audio unit bracket screws (A) and the audio unit

bracket (1) from each side of the audio unit (if necessary).

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL

1. Remove the front door finisher. Refer to 

INT-15, "Removal and Installation"

.

2. Remove the front door speaker screws (A).
3. Disconnect the harness connector from front door speaker (1)

and remove.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove the rear door finisher. Refer to 

INT-17, "Removal and Installation"

.

2. Remove the rear door speaker screws (A).
3. Disconnect the harness connector from rear door speaker (1)

and remove. 

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
