4. Install the fuel tank; refer to FUEL TANK .  

FUEL PUMP - SUPERCHARGED ENGINE 

Removal 

1. Remove the fuel tank (9002). For additional information, refer to FUEL TANK - SUPERCHARGED 

ENGINE .  

2. Clean the area around the fuel pump mounting flange. 

NOTE:

The fuel pump must be handled carefully to avoid damage to the float arm 
and the filter.

3. Remove the bolts and remove the fuel pump.  

4. Remove and discard the fuel pump mounting gasket (9417).  

Installation 

1. Clean the fuel pump mounting flange and the fuel tank mounting surface.  

2. Install the fuel pump mounting gasket on the mounting flange.  

3. Install the fuel pump.

Position the fuel pump in the fuel tank or install the bolts.

4. Install the fuel tank. For additional information, refer to FUEL TANK - SUPERCHARGED ENGINE . 

FILLER PIPE 

Removal 

1. Remove fuel tank filler cap (9030).  

2. Remove the screws.

3. Remove one hose clamp on the fuel tank filler pipe support.
