water exiting from the lines of the
fresh water system

Shut off the water heater in a
timely manner before starting
repair work. Let the water in the
lines and in the components of
the fresh water system cool
down to room temperature.

and eyes.

Before commencing any work,
ensure that all sources of ignition
have been removed and that the
gas system is completely

combination (1)

Remove gasket (4)

 Installation: Check gasket

(4) for damage, replace if
necessary

Remove water tap (2) from hot
water heater/sink combination
(1)

Install in the reverse order

Perform a function test

 Open water tap (2), close

 

7

Check gas system for leakage

Remove/Install

Loosen bolts (2)

Loosen bolts (3)

Remove downpipe (4)

Unscrew nut (5)

 Hold syphon (8) with suitable

tool at top.

Remove paper seal (6)

 Installation: Replace paper

seal (6)

Remove rubber seal (7)

 Installation: Check rubber

seal (7) for damage, replace if

 

necessary

Remove syphon (8) from hot
water heater/sink combination

Install in the reverse order

 

 

9

Perform leak check

 Open cock, check syphon (8)

and bolts (2, 3) on downpipe (4)
for leakage
