upward on left and right-hand sides out of backrest mounting -3-.

Installing

Install backrest -2- into backrest mounting -3- and press downward. (Locking lugs -1- will lock when
doing this).

Install retaining support -2- onto center mounting -3-.

Screw screws -1- into back of backrest. Torque setting: 20 N.m.

BACKREST LOCKING DEVICE (ONE PIECE), REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Removing

Remove backrest. See BACKREST (ONE PIECE), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Remove padding.

Press left and right-hand connecting rod -1- ball joint off locking hooks -2- with a screwdriver -arrow-.

Release circlip -1- from pin -2-. See Fig. 30 .

Release spring -3- from backrest -4- with a screwdriver.

Pull pin -2- out of backrest -4-, when doing this hold spring -3- with a pair of pliers and pull out.

Release button housing -1- -arrow- and take off rear panel -3-.
