CAUTION: Before beginning repairs on the electrical system: 

z

Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.  

z

Switch off all electrical consumers.  

z

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.  

z

Disconnect negative (-) battery terminal.  

z

When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals, observe all 
applicable Notes and torque specifications, as well as instructions on 
performing OBD program and electrical system function checks as 
specified.

The engine coolant temperature sensor is installed in the coolant return (arrow), located between the cylinder 
head and the radiator.

The speedometer vehicle speed sensor (arrow) is located at the rear of the transmission. See Fig. 3 .
