Remove rear striker mount cover. 

See LOAD AND LUGGAGE AREA TRIMS . 

z

Reach behind respective quarter panel trim and unscrew knurled nut -1-. Make sure washer -2- and spacer 
-3- do not fall down. See Fig. 77 .  

z

Remove rear light -5- and disconnect electrical connector.  

Installing 

z

Connect electrical connector.  

z

Insert rear light housing into body opening.  

z

Insert retaining bolt -4- into body opening.  

z

Insert rear light into cutout -arrow-. 

CAUTION:

z

Switch off all electrical consumers.  

z

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

Slide spacer -3- and washer -2- onto retaining bolt -4-, attach knurled nut -1- and tighten by hand.
