Removing 

z

Remove center and left noise insulation tray under engine/transmission if installed.  

z

Remove drive shaft 

See FRONT AXLE SHAFT

Remove flange shaft securing bolts by screwing two bolts into flange and counterhold flange shaft using 
a lever.  

z

Place container under transmission.  

z

Remove flange shaft with spring.  

z

Pull out seal for flange shaft with VW 771 and VW 771/37.

Installing 

z

Drive new seal into sleeve onto stop, when doing this do not cant seal. 

NOTE:

z

Do not damage sleeve, otherwise leaks will occur. 

z

Replace sleeve if damaged. See Pulling sleeve in .

Fill space between sealing lip and dust lip with sealing grease G052 128 A1.
