Install the puller hook VW 771/37 directly behind the pad in the sleeve.  

z

Use force to press the puller hook VW 771/37 in the sleeve during the driving out sequence.  

Installing 

Seal and sleeve are driven out in two pieces: 

z

Do not bend seal when driving new seal into sleeve onto stop.

Fill space between sealing lip and dust lip with sealing grease G052 128 A1.  

z

Insert flange shaft.  

Seal and sleeve are driven out in one piece: 

z

Clean the sitting place of seal in transmission.  

z

Pull seal and sleeve together.
