3. Remove driver's lower instrument panel cover. Turn clutch pedal switch 90 degrees to left and pull switch 

out from support. Pull clutch pedal lightly toward passenger compartment. Press both sides of mounting 
inward using Pliers (T10005). See Fig. 19 . Separate master cylinder operating rod from clutch pedal.

4. Remove complete clutch pedal mounting bracket by removing connecting plate (A) first (arrows 1). See 

Fig. 20 . Remove securing nuts (arrow 2) for support (B). Remove mounting bracket.

5. Separate clutch master cylinder rod from clutch pedal by, inserting Release Tool (3309) into clutch pedal 

cut outs (A). See Fig. 21 . Inscription (B, top/oben) on release tool points away from clutch pedal. Using 
pliers positioned in recesses (C), press release tool together.

6. Turn stop (A) for clutch pedal in a counterclockwise direction and remove stop. See Fig. 22 .

7. Push clutch master cylinder downward (arrow 1) onto stop. See Fig. 23 . Clutch master cylinder must not 

be covered in upper area by overcenter spring mounting (arrow 2). Swing clutch master cylinder in 
direction of arrow (3) and remove from mounting bracket.
