Removing

Remove door trim. 

See DOOR TRIM . 

z

Disconnect electrical connection.  

z

Release switch housing -A- by pressing sideways out from locking device in mounting frame -B- and 
remove.

CAUTION:

z

Switch off all electrical consumers.  

z

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

Installing 

z

Connect electrical connection.  

z

Insert switch -A- in recess in mounting frame -B-and engage.  

z

Install door trim.  

SWITCH FOR REMOTE/FUEL TANK DOOR AND SWITCH FOR REMOTE UNLOCK, REAR LID, 
REMOVING AND INSTALLING 

The switches for remote/fuel tank door and remote unlock rear trunk lid, cannot be removed separately. The 
complete switch unit must be replaced. 

Removing

Remove door trim. See DOOR TRIM .  

z

Disconnect electrical connection.  

z

Release switch housing -1- by pressing sideways on locking tabs (arrows) and remove from door trim. 

CAUTION:

z

Switch off all electrical consumers.  

z

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

Installing

Insert switch -1- into door trim and engage.  

z

Connect electrical connection.  

z

Install door trim.  

SWITCHES IN CENTER OF INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 

Removing and installing is the same procedure for all switches. Procedure for hazard warning light switch -E3- 
is described here. 

Switch must be pulled out in order to disconnect electrical connector.

Special tools and equipment 

Wood or plastic wedge 

Removing 

z

Protect instrument panel and adjacent switches with adhesive tape if necessary.  

z

Press in adjacent switch and carefully pry out switch using flat plastic wedge or screwdriver.
