Adjusting 

z

Turn temperature rotary control knob to left onto stop.  

z

Attach center wire of cable -1- to the temperature flap lever -2-. See Fig. 34 .  

z

Push temperature flap lever -2- onto stop -arrow A- and secure outer cable -1- with clip -3-.  

z

Turn temperature rotary control knob to left and right onto stops.

When turning the rotary control knob both end stops must be reached.

Footwell/defrost flap cable, installing and adjusting 

Cable sleeve marking: Green 

Prerequisite: 

z

Heating and A/C controls are installed.

Adjusting 

z

Turn air distribution rotary knob to left onto stop.  

z

Attach end of cable -1- to the temperature flap lever -3-, arrow -A-. See Fig. 35 .

Press footwell/defrost flap lever onto stop arrow -C- and attach outer cable -1 - with clip -2-, arrow -B-.  

z

Turn air distribution rotary control knob to left and right onto stops. 

When turning the rotary control knob both end stops must be reached. 

Central flap cable, installing and adjusting 

Cable sleeve marking: Yellow 

Prerequisites: 

z

Central flap lever correctly adjusted, See INSTALLING & ADJUSTING CENTRAL FLAP CABLE  

z

Heating and A/C controls are installed.  

z

Connecting duct removed, See CONNECTING DUCT, REMOVING .

Adjusting 

z

Turn air distribution rotary control knob to left onto stop.  

z

Attach center wire of cable -2- to the central flap lever -1-. See Fig. 36 .  

z

Press footwell/defrost flap lever onto stop arrow -A- and attach outer cable -2- with clip -3-.  

z

Turn air distribution rotary control knob to left and right onto stops. 

When turning the rotary control knob both end stops must be reached. 

COMPONENTS IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT, SERVICING 

CAUTION: Before beginning repairs on the electrical system: 

z

Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.  

z

Switch the ignition off.  

z

Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.  

z

After reconnecting battery, re-code and check operation of anti-theft 
radio. Also check operation of clock and power windows according 
to Repair Manual and/or Owner's Manual.  

z

Immediately plug open connections on A/C components to prevent 
dirt and moisture contamination.  

NOTE:

z

Before carrying out any work on the A/C refrigerant system, refer to A/C 
refrigerant system safety measures, See A/C refrigerant system .  

z

System components identified with an * must only be serviced or replaced 
after discharging refrigerant system.
