2.5.1

Removing

– Open glass panel -1- until trim -2- is accessible.
– Unclip locking lugs -3- by pressing together in direction of

-arrow A- on back.

– First pull off trim panel -2- downwards at rear and then inwards

in direction of -arrow B- and remove it from bolt -4-.

– Push trim panel in direction of -arrow C- forwards and remove.

2. Panorama sliding sunroof (Arvin-Meritor)

To remove bolts, use a magnetic tool so that bolts do not fall into

mechanism of panorama sliding roof.

– Remove glass panel upwards.

Caution

To avoid damaging wind deflector, do not move tilting mecha‐

nism when glass panel is removed.

2.5.2

Installing

Note

♦

Always use new bolts when installing or removing glass panel.

♦

To screw in bolts, use a magnetic tool so that bolts do not fall

into mechanism of panorama sliding roof.

– Set glass panel -1- from top and screw bolts -2- without tight‐

ening them.

– Adjust front glass panel

– Tighten bolts -2- (5 Nm).

– Fit front trim panel -2- into glass panel -1- and slide in direction

of -arrow A-.

– Push trim panel in direction of -arrow B- onto bolt -4- and clip

locking lugs -4- on back.

– On completion of work, establish reference points of sliding

sunroof motor

Removing

Note

To remove bolts, use a magnetic tool so that bolts do not fall into

mechanism of panorama sliding roof.

– Open front glass panel completely by pressing rotary switch

beyond comfort position.

– Remove bolts -3- of rear glass panel -1-.
– Remove spacer -2- under bolting point.
– Move front glass panel into “tilted” position.

– Pull inner seal -3- inwards slightly at point -arrow- and remove

bolts -2-.

– Remove rear glass panel upwards -1-.

2.6.2

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Always use new bolts when installing or removing glass panel.

♦

To screw in bolts, use a magnetic tool so that bolts do not fall

into mechanism of panorama sliding roof.

– Adjust rear glass panel

2.7

Adjusting height of front and rear glass

panel

Note

♦

Front glass panel must only be adjusted on front edge and rear

glass panel on rear edge.

♦

To achieve the best possible optical appearance, ensure that

adjustments on left and right are as far as is possible uniform

(symmetric).
